Helping people move is far more than just a job to us. We love what we do and understand that achieving the results we want to for our clients will often mean needing to work outside of normal working hours.

Myself and my wife Kathryn founded AKS in 2016 just a couple of months after the birth of our youngest son Archie (it's fair to say it was a busy time!) I'd already been an estate agent for over 10 years having sold my London estate agency business in 2014 following the birth of our eldest son, Jack, to relocate to Derby (where Kathryn was originally from). Having spent a couple of years working for a large Derby estate agency I knew that combining the best parts of what i'd learnt in Derby with the more driven & innovative approach I was used to from London, would result in a better moving experience for people!
So much of our current success is down to our early clients who took a leap of faith by using a new, unknown agent, they loved what we did and then recommended us to others! Even today many of our new customers come to us either through recommendation or having seen our reviews (300+ 5* Google reviews and counting!) We've always believed the best way for us to build our business is to just focus on doing an amazing job for everyone we meet!
We've built a committed team who are passionate and relentlessly focussed on helping all of our customers achieve their moving goals. We do things pretty differently compared to most agents so have found that it's better to recruit team members without prior experience so we can train them in the 'AKS Way'. Most of our team were past clients before they joined which we've found gives them a great head start in understanding the emotions our customers go through during their home moving journey.
Along the way we've won plenty of awards and grown significantly but one thing that will never change; every new customer is every bit as important to us as our very first one.
